Our Anniversary and Updates.....

Love!!

Today Chris and I are celebrating our 18th year of being Married. An d for those who don't know, we only dated for three months before getting married. I don't recommend anyone to have that short of a courtship, but we are a success story. We work hard at our marriage and are proud to say that we are looking forward to the next 18 years. Love being in Love!

With that said.... I will try to give you a week of updates about our family;

Chris has been very busy at work. They have hired someone new in the office, and between training him and doing his own job he has been very busy. He will also be Preaching at The New Testament Baptist Church in Casey Co. this coming weekend, 1-15-12 and again on 1-29-12. He is very much looking forward to it.

Me (Bethany), I have gotten back into the swing of things at work. And for those who don't know, I also work as a breast feeding consultant in the Pediatric office that I work in. This part of my job is my favorite!! I love helping women feed their babies. I have started a blog this week that is in response to the need for advise on breastfeeding. This way I can go over suggestions, supplies, schedules, in this blog and just advise some of my "mommies" that may need more help than my time will allow in the office. Very excited about getting up and going, but It is still a work in progress!

Jacob is going to a Snow Ball dance this coming Saturday with a "friend...just a friend"? Anyway he is going with me shopping this weekend for a new suite for this dance....wish us luck. He has also set up new goals for the new semester at school. How exciting it is to be able to start over! New year, new semester, great time to start over.

He is really excited about it. It is titles Sport Center Jr. and it is his take on sports that he watches. For anyone who knows Jonah this is right up his alley! He is a huge sports fan and gets extremely involved in every sport that he watches or is in. Jonah really enjoys writing it, and we all love his take on it all!

Jonny received his yellow belt in Karate right before Christmas. He started Karate in August and he takes lessons everyday after school, and he loves it. We as his parents also love it because he can ride the bus to Elite Marshall Arts everyday after school, and be able to have a karate lesson vs. going to a daycare in the afternoon. The fee is minimal and he loves learning more about this art form. We love knowing that he is in a safe place being watched my adults, and he is able to get out energy, learn an art form, and of course the discipline and respect that comes with it. Highly recommend this place!!

Well, today is my day off of work, and I need to get to my other jobs. Bye for now.

And back to work and school we go........

Today Chris and I went back to work, and the boys start school back tomorrow. The Christmas tree finally came down today, and I already miss it! We are all feeling a little bit of the after Christmas blues. But we all have some really exciting stuff coming up soon..................Stay tuned :0

Day 2 of the New Year

If I had to use one word to describe today it would be... Uneventful. We have played, partied, and worked hard for about 3 weeks. Now, we are all crashing hard. We still have the Christmas tree up, presents laying in almost every room of the house, lights and wreaths up outside, and we are still setting in our P.J's... it is now Noon! Jonny was the only smart one. He went to day camp at Karate. He said he wanted to get out of working. Little did he know that their would be no working today. At least not yet.

Hello 2012!!!

Hello Everyone! We are The Buck Family and this is our first time to ever blog, and when better to start than the first day of the year 2012. We are going to try our best to write in this blog daily. I (Bethany..MOM) decided to start this blog to help us let our family and friends keep up with what is going on our lives. We would also love for anyone out there to follow us, and comment on our blog. This is a "G" rated blog, and would appreciate it if you keep your questions, or responses "G" rated. I am the first one to write in this blog, but every member at some point will contribute to this blog this year!

A little about our family......

The Dad... Chris Buck, 38 years old, fantatic husband, great dad, minister, friend, mentor, laid back, strong, clumsey, quiet, hard worker, the person that everyone likes. Loves to...read, work with his hands, play with the kids, watch sports, and movies.

The Mom...Bethany Buck, 38 years young, tries hard to be.. a good wife, great mom, friend, sister, hard worker, compassionate person, soft feelings, sharp tongue at times, queen of the one liners. Loves to....read, shop, crafts, decorating, look at realestate, sale and buy on ebay, sewing, knitting, needlepoint.

Oldest Child... Jacob Buck, 17 years old, loving child, handsome, kind, soft hearted, smart, easily distracted, funny, full of life, huge energy, dramatic. Loves to.... listen to music, hang out with friends, being with youth group at church, date girls, play basketball, play video games, dance, watch movies, ride his bike, skateboard

Middle Child...Jonah Buck, 11 years old, loving, caring, dependable, smart, handsome, athletic, kind, impulsive, competitive, compulsive, friendly. Loves to....play all sports, video games, watch sports, listen to music, hanging out with friends.

The baby of the family.... Jonathan "Jonny" Buck, 10 years old, sweet, cute, compassionate, kind, soft hearted, easily gets feelings hurt, energetic, athletic, smart, shy at times, laid back, funny, prince of the one liners. Loves to... play outside, ride his bike, skateboard, scooter.... anything with wheels. Play with brothers, play basketball, draw, color, make crafts, cook, swim.
